There are several things that may be causing your battery to perform poorly. Following are a few things to check for and their solutions.
If you use an android phone, go to Settings-Battery, or with an iPhone go to Settings-Cellular to see a list of apps using up your battery life. If there are some you can do without, delete them.
A faulty charger
If after a full night’s charging you notice your battery quickly drains, check to make sure that it is actually fully charged. If not, you’ll want to consider a new charger from a reputable retailer, such a Nuvera Wireless.
Setting the brightness level to a lower value can help provide better battery life.
The screen timeout or sleep settings determine how long your phone will display after it has been engaged with, which wastes battery life if you’re not looking at your phone. Set it to a lower value you’re comfortable with.
Widgets and background apps
Widgets and background apps are continuously updating. The more frequently they update, the more battery power they use. Consider deleting those you don’t need or setting them to update less often.
If your smartphone is more than a couple of years old, you may just need a new battery.
